The Great Grey is believed to be the world's largest species of owl by length although it is lighter than some other species due to having a lighter body under its mass of fluffy feathers.

Although they are the most colourful members of the crow family, Jays are actually quite difficult to see. They are shy woodland birds so I was quite excited to catch my first sightings
